How Much Sleep Do We Need? And How Much Sleep Are We Getting?
How much sleep we need varies between individuals but generally changes as we get older. The National Sleep Foundation (NSF) suggests that adults need 7 to 9 hours of daily sleep. Alarmingly, a recent survey reports that “nearly 30% of adults” are only averaging less than 6 hours of sleep daily (National Health Interview Survey).
