How To Start A Walking Club
Hold an organizing meeting.
Start a walking Team. Give your team a name.
Determine the day(s), time, where, how long, the distance, and under what weather conditions you will walk.
Develop a theme (e.g. small steps to success).
Discuss and review - best walking shoes; starting slowly; keeping a diary; sore muscles.
Promote - mention the benefits of walking. Walking mental benefits improves sleep, mood, and is a form of meditation. Create a newsletter!
As with any physical training program, the challenge is more often learning how to stay motivated to maintain the activity in your life.
