The three main generations in today's workforce - Baby Boomers, Generation Xer's and Next Generation have some interesting themes associated with their own style, and ways of operating in the world. While the Boomers often seek to work efficiently, the Gen Xer's are known to want to get the task over with, and the Nexters - well, they "do what's asked" of them.
Human Resource recruiters and supervisors are studying the different generations to be able to better motivate and mold them into teams within their organizations.
So, while Nexters are perceived to have
more of a short term goals over lifetime
career goals, Boomers have more of
long term career focus.
