Knowledge Management (KM) is integrated in North Carolina State Government, in part, through their Learning and Development Catalog offering known as -

This training focuses on the following objectives:

Identify where critical organizational knowledge is located in the work unit, prioritize and determine its criticality; 

Determine if critical knowledge is at risk of being lost or in a single point of failure situation by conducting a risk analysis; 

Determine the best method(s) for capturing and transferring critical knowledge to others; 

Create individual employee development plans to close knowledge gaps and create informal career paths; and

Monitor and evaluate knowledge transfer plans for continuous improvement and sharing of best practices.
