Government organizations that "gloss over" orientation for new employees and/or supervisors often suffer the consequences in terms of lost productivity, actions inconsistent with organization culture, employee dis-satisfaction, grievances, and complaints. A small investment in a well-planned orientation programs will yield huge organizational dividends.
