Uniforms In The Workplace: Good Idea Or Bad?


Uniforms can be a relief to some and annoying to others.  In times of fiscal conservatism, they can be welcome to employees when they are provided, and also enhance career and business development through recognition.

Pros – promotes the organization or business and brand.

Standardizes looks and relieves employees of stress of expensive clothing purchases.

Cons – discourages individuality; may not be functional; need to establish policy.
