Connecticut Based - The Workplace.Org Helps Build Careers
December 2011 Newsletter Offers Resources For Connecticut Residents – Two Programs Highlighted:
Platform To Employment (P2E) – Is a 5 week five-week preparatory program that includes skills assessment, career readiness workshops, employee assistance programs, coaching and more. Attendees that successfully complete the prep program are matched with open positions at local companies. Placements are made on a trial basis, paid for by The WorkPlace. The expectation is that if the company is satisfied with the performance of the candidate, a full-time job will ensue. To date more than 45% have been placed in Work Experience Programs with several more waiting on job offers.
Health CareerRX Academy - Skill training is offered in targeted and in-demand healthcare occupations that are credentialed and will earn participants a wage sufficient enough to support themselves and their families. Participants will benefit from services not typically offered in other programs, including mentoring, coaching, internship opportunities (limited) and other supports.
