As Supervisors Retire: An Opportunity To Reshape Organizations
“In a 2008 report, OPM estimated that as of 2009, about 31 percent of the 1,572,855 permanent full-time Federal employees will be eligible for voluntary retirement. This report also estimates that by the year 2014, about 53 percent of the permanent full-time Federal employees will be eligible to retire and 57 percent of this eligible group is expected to actually do so.
