Average annual growth rates for full-time and part-time employment, 1998-2008

Part-time employment grew much faster than full-time employment;  the gaps between full-time and part-time employment growth were highest in Austria, Italy, Spain, the Republic of Korea, and Germany. Full-time employment grew faster than part-time employment in only six out of seventeen countries, including the United States;  full-time employment growth was highest in Spain, followed by Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand.  (Reference: US Bureau of Labor Statics)
