Room to Breathe Poster Shoot
Saturday, March 12th and Sunday, March 13th, 2011
Take part in an influential piece of active transportation advocacy in the DC metro area. WABA, DDOT, and local collage artist Matthew Parker are combining efforts to create a Room to Breathe poster inspired by the iconic shots in Portland and New York City. The poster will be a series of three photos displaying how mch room 50 automobiles takes up compared to 50 cyclists and 50 pedestrians, showing that active transportation is a more efficient use of space.
They will need 50 volunteers to be cyclists and pedestrians for the shoot (25 per day), which will take place on Saturday, March 12th and Sunday, March 13th between 11 AM - 1 PM at the southeast corner of 6th and Pennsylvania, NW. Go wearing your normal street clothes and a helmet and be captured in this piece of history.
